I grew up listening to Chris Ledoux. 2005 was a sad year my all time favorite country singer passed and my father also passed away. Two of the greatest cowboys I've ever known!

I worked for KSOP radio and whenever Chris came to town it was a great day. I met him at least 6 different times and he was gracious and loving in all that he did. So now I am playing guitar more than ever and learning a bunch of his songs. One of my favorite songwriters. We miss you Chris.

Met Chris at the café in Kaycee early one morning. I stopped for an early breakfast after delivering material to an oilwell. His smile was quick but his eyes were tired..... God bless.

I rodeoed back in the 50s &60s before Chris. When he came on the seen I new he would be great. Both at the rodeo and also the music business. May god bless you for keeping his memory alive. I am looking forward to seeing him in heaven and telling him what joy and blessing he's left for us that are left here on earth. May god bless you all.

I first started listening to Chris over 40 years ago when he would perform (solo at that time) at the Eagles in Sheridan or at the Sheridan rodeo at the fairgrounds in a tent. Of course, rodeo at the college was a big deal too. With names like Chris, Wally Badgett, Fred Larson. In the fall of 1972, I was with the Sheridan Rodeo Club and Patsye Hamilton when we stopped in Kaycee on our way to the College National Finals Rodeo in Pueblo, Colorado. We stopped to pick up his new 8-tracks (yes we were that old) to sell. If memory serves me right, they were of his first album. Chris, his wife, and baby son were living in a trailer at the time. I was so happy for him when he got the national recognition he did. One of the nicest men you could ever meet. Everyone have fun this weekend. Wish I could join you.
